I was living without direction, without purpose and without the ability to really enjoy simple pleasures in life. Now, over 12 years later, I have purpose. I have direction and I can really appreciate all that life has to offer. With the help and guidance from CFR, I have been able to change that "untapped potential" into a Master’s degree in business and live a very enriched life. Most importantly though, my children only know their father as someone who is always there and is devoted to their own happiness and well-being. It really can work! |

Addictions Counselor:
Full-time position is now open in our Fort Dodge Outpatient Facility.
Qualified candidates will have high energy, are detail focused, a team player, are certified by the Iowa Board of Certification (CADC/ACADC or in process) or have a bachelors in counseling or related field (Masters preferred), experienced in criminal justice and dual diagnosis, and a strong desire to join a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing the highest quality of addiction treatment services. Familiarity with the Stages of Change, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, and current evidenced based programs a huge plus!

Prevention Specialist:
Community and Family Resources has an immediate opening for a substance abuse/tobacco prevention educator. This position requires a self-motivated, high energy, creative person. It would involve substantial coalition development within communities. The position would involve educating a wide audience, including children and adults about drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention. A BA degree is required with a background in education, public health, community activism or human services. Certification as a Prevention Specialist is required within the first year of hire.

PRN Nurse:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with experience in substance abuse treatment preferred. Will work in substance abuse treatment facility with a Medically Monitored Detox Unit. Responsible for client supervision, medication control, detoxification protocol, and nursing assistance.
